Lived in Ransomville, New York until April, 1971 when I enlisted in the Air Force. Commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in August, 1971. Attended Basic Navigator Training and Electronic Warfare (EWO) Training. After completing EWO Training in October 1973 and B-52 Combat Crew training at Castle AFB, CA. I was stationed at Beale AFB, CA; Grand Forks AFB, ND; Holbrook STR (Strategic Training Range), HQ 1CEVG Barksdale AFB, LA; Bismarck STR; Forsyth STR, MT. In August 1987 I was transferred to Mather AFB, CA. My final assignment was to the 99th Recon Squadron Beale AFB as a U-2 Misson Planner. I retired from active duty on May 1, 1991 with twenty years and one month of service.
After retiring from the Air Force I have been a Director of Environmental Services for a 55 bed Acute Care Psychiatric Hospital for two years and a Substitute Teacher. In 1994 I entered the University of California Davis Teachers Credentialing Program and successfully completed it receiving my Single Subject Teaching Credential in Physical Sciences. I taught for one year at Cordova High School in Rancho Cordova, CA and then started at Marysville High School in 1996.
