I am a 1976 graduate of Marysville High School. I owned and operated Bookland in downtown Marysville from 1986 to 1997. In 1994 I was elected to the Marysville City Council and served as the Vice-Mayor of Marysville until 1998. After closing Bookland I went back to college and graduated from Chico State in 1998 with a degree in History. There was only one place that I wanted to teach and that was at Marysville High School. I was hired in 1998 to teach Civics and U.S. History. I am now the History Department Chairman and the President of the Marysville Unified Teacher's Association (MUTA). I currently teach U.S. History, Civics, AP Government, Economics, and Honors Economics. I am married to the love of my life, Karen, and I have four children - Vincent, Nikko, Santara, and my stepdaughter Ashley. I can't forget about my wonderful grandchildren - Victoria, April, Bentley, and Nikkoli. |
